Welcome to Tanzania.
Today is arrival day in Dar es Salaam.

An additional night with breakfast costs $80 per person in a double room and $110 per person in a single room.

Meal Plan : Breakfast and Bed

Day 2 to 4: Nyerere National Park

Experience the Rufiji River with its hippos, the palm-fringed lakes, on whose banks crocodiles wait for the many animals – zebras, giraffes, buffalo and wildebeest – that come here to drink. Here you can also see lions, because Nyerere has more lions than almost any other African park. And elephants too. If you’re lucky, you might also see a spotted hyena, a leopard or an African wild dog.

Day 2
Drive to Nyerere Park, lunch at Rufiji Lodge. In the afternoon, a romantic sunset boat trip on the Rufiji River.
Day 3 and 4
Full-day safaris in the extensive Nyerere Park. Lunch a picnic or in the lodge.

Accommodation: Rufiji River Camp

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 5 & 6: Mikumi National Park

Day 5
Today is a transfer day from Nyerere to Mikumi. At 360 km and about 8 hours, it is the longest drive on this trip.
You will take a packed lunch with you as a picnic lunch so that you can enjoy the beautiful drive with the view to the horizon. You will spend the next two nights in Vuma Hills and will have dinner under the stars.

Day 6
Full day safari in MikumiMikumi National Park has all the wildlife you could wish for, including four of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo. But your biggest prize of all may be finding a pack of endangered African wild dogs, which is always an exhilarating sight. You’ll love the landscapes, too – so many classic safari images including grassy plains, light woodlands and plenty of baobabs, that strangely wonderful tree of the African plains. Put it all together and you’ll soon understand why they sometimes call Mikumi ‘Little Serengeti’.

Accommodation: Vuma Hills Tented Camp

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7: From Mikumi to Iringa

In the morning, a final game drive in Mukumi. In the afternoon, there is a 3-4 hour drive to Iringa.
Iringa is known for its historic rock art and extremely important archaeological sites scattered around the town.

Accommodation: Iringa Sunset Hotel

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 8 to 10: Ruaha National Park

Day 8: Before heading to Ruaha, you will visit the famous Isimila Stone Age Site this morning. A ‘Little Arizona’ in Africa. In the afternoon, you will then continue to Ruaha NP.
Day 9 and 10:
Full-day game drives in Ruaha.Take in everything that Ruaha has to offer – it’s one of Tanzania’s least-visited but most rewarding parks. Ruaha is famous for its big lion prides – the lion population here is one of Africa’s biggest. You can also expect big elephant and buffalo herds, as well as plenty of giraffe, hippo and zebra. The variety of birds is also incredible, with more than 450 species recorded in the park. Apart from the animals, what many travelers love most about visiting here is the feeling of exploring a true African wilderness that’s one of the most beautiful anywhere on the continent

Accommodation:  Ruaha River Lodge

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 11: Time to say Good-Bye
