Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) is one of Africa’s largest wilderness areas, known for its untouched landscapes, rich wildlife, and the mighty Rufiji River. The park offers excellent game viewing, large populations of elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, and rare wild dogs. It is also famous for its boat safaris, giving visitors a unique view of wildlife along the river. Peaceful, wild, and less crowded, Nyerere offers an authentic safari experience.

Day to day Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive in Dar es Salaam
Dar Es Salaam
Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your seaside hotel. Take time to relax after your journey—enjoy the ocean breeze, a walk along the beach, or a quiet dinner.

Day 2 : Dar es Salaam – Flight to Nyerere National Park (Selous)
Nyerere National Park (Selous)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), one of Africa’s largest protected wildlife areas. On arrival, your driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to Impala Camp.
After settling in, enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game activity—either a game drive or a relaxing boat safari on the Rufiji River depending on your arrival time.

Day 3: Full Day in Nyerere National Park

Enjoy a full day exploring the park. After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive where you will search for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, wild dogs, and abundant birdlife.
Return to the camp for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an afternoon activity of your choice.

Day 4 : Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari
Boat safari and Game drive
Today begins with a sunrise game drive as animals are most active in the early hours. Your guide will take you across rich wildlife areas, offering excellent photographic opportunities.
Return for lunch and some leisure time at the camp, then in the afternoon embark on a scenic boat safari along the Rufiji River—famous for hippos, crocodiles, and breathtaking sunsets.Accommodation: Impala Camp

Day 5 : Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari
Boat safari and Game drive
Another beautiful day in the wilderness. Start with a morning game drive exploring new areas of the park. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a second boat trip or an alternate activity such as walking safari (if available and prearranged).
This day allows you to experience Selous from different perspectives—land and water.

Day 6 : Departure
Departure
This day will mark the last day of your tour. You will depart from the lodge and go back to Arusha in time for lunch. Your safari guide will transfer you to the airport for a flight or back home. By then, we hope you will have received the best service that enabled you to enjoy your stay in Tanzania.
