Usambara Mountains 8 Days

What to expect

Lushoto is a district in Tanzania’s Tanga region in the Usambara Mountains, known for its history. At around 1200m, this leafy highland town is nestled in a fertile valley surrounded by pines and eucalyptus. Irrigated agriculture, for example, has gained traction in this area. Fruits of various varieties, as well as horticultural crops, are grown. Pastoralism is another activity. Lushoto is a town in the western Usambara’s that serves as a good starting point for hikes in the surrounding hills.

Visiting Lushoto is the best way to unwind from your hectic schedule. Many people come to the Usambara Mountains to enjoy the lush greenery and clean air. The Usambara Mountains provide breathtaking views; it’s lovely to just sit quietly and take in the scenery. In this area, you can also visit historic sites and hike along beautiful trails. Tropical forest covers the majority of Lushoto.

The Usumbara Mountains are known for scenic drives, hiking, biking, birding, and simply relaxing while listening to the sounds. In the Lushoto area, Nature Responsible Safari can organize a variety of activities (usambara Mountain). The walks and trails can take anywhere from a few hours to several days to complete. Following is what we learned from our experience, and we believe it will be an exciting program for you as well.

Anyone who has walked long or short distances can participate in these walks. You’ll have a great time connecting with the villagers and learning about their lives during these walks, and your eyes will be drawn to the beautiful natural houses with various floral designs. This is the only way to visit Tanzania and leave a lasting impression.

It is our responsibility as a Nature Responsible Company to ensure that every trip has a positive and beneficial impact on you and the community, with long-term and sustainable benefits.
