HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Your full day-by-day itinerary outlines the hotel accommodation and meal basis included in your package. All our pre- and post-safari accommodations are based in Arusha. If your hotel stay includes a bed and breakfast (B&B) plan, you will typically have the option to purchase additional meals or snacks directly from the hotel. Payments can usually be made in Tanzanian Shillings or US Dollars.

HOTEL SAFETY

Fire Safety: Upon arrival at the hotel, take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the emergency procedures in the event of a fire. Locate the nearest escape routes and fire exits to ensure you are prepared for any emergency.

Swimming Pools: Some hotel pools may not have lifeguards, depth markings, or non-slip surfaces. Before using the pool, always check its layout and depth to ensure your safety.

Trips and Slips: Be cautious of wet floors, uneven steps, holes, or other potential trip hazards inside the hotel and in surrounding areas. Physical warnings and barriers may not always be in place, so extra attention is necessary.

GETTING AROUND

When walking or crossing roads, remain vigilant, as traffic may flow in an unfamiliar direction and drivers may not always stop at pedestrian crossings. If using a taxi, ensure it is licensed; for safety and convenience, it is best to have your hotel arrange one for you.

VEHICLES AND DRIVING STANDARDS

We maintain a high standard for vehicles and drivers used in all transfers. In Tanzania, rear seatbelts are not legally required, and while we strive to provide vehicles equipped with them, this is not always possible. If you have concerns about the condition of the vehicle or the driving standards, please inform the driver or contact our local office immediately.

It is common for police to stop vehicles to check driver documentation. This procedure can seem intimidating if you do not understand the language, but it is a routine practice and does not indicate any issue with your driver or vehicle.

OUTAGES IN HOTELS

Tanzania is still developing, and occasional interruptions in water and electricity supply are common. As a result, hotels cannot always guarantee hot water availability throughout your stay. We appreciate your understanding and patience in such circumstances.
