Day to day Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive in Dar es Salaam

Step foot in Tanzania and feel the excitement of an unforgettable journey. After arriving at Julius Nyerere International Airport, enjoy a warm welcome and transfer to Mediterraneo Hotel, a cozy retreat where you can rest, refresh, and prepare for your adventure. Spend your evening exploring nearby streets or relaxing at the hotel, soaking in the vibrant Tanzanian atmosphere.

Day 2 : Fly to Kigoma & Lakeside Relaxation
Kigoma
Take a short flight to Kigoma, a serene town on the edge of Lake Tanganyika, Africa’s second-deepest lake. Check into the Kigoma Hilltop Lodge, perched high with panoramic lake views. Spend the afternoon enjoying the peaceful scenery, watching the sun set over the water, or taking a gentle stroll along the lakeshore.

Day 3: Boat to Gombe & First Chimpanzee Trek
Gombe & First Chimpanzee Trek
Embark on a scenic boat ride across Lake Tanganyika to the legendary Gombe Stream National Park, famous for Dr. Jane Goodall’s groundbreaking research. After settling into Mbalimbali Gombe Lodge, enjoy your first chimpanzee trekking adventure. Follow the calls of the wild and watch chimpanzees interact naturally — a magical wildlife experience you’ll never forget.

Day 4: Full-Day Chimpanzee Trekking & Forest Exploration
Full Day Exploring Chimpanzee
Spend a full day exploring the lush forests of Gombe. Trek deeper into the habitat of the chimpanzees, watch their playful antics, and visit the historic research areas where Dr. Goodall began her work. After trekking, relax by the lodge or take in the breathtaking views of the lake, enjoying a peaceful moment surrounded by nature.

Overnight: Mbalimbali Gombe Lodge
Day 5 : Gombe to kigoma
Kigoma
After breakfast, depart Gombe by boat back to Kigoma. Upon arrival, proceed for a short historical and cultural tour, which may include a visit to the famous MV Liemba, the oldest operating passenger ship in the world, originally built in 1913. You may also visit the local market to experience Kigoma’s vibrant daily life and shop for local goods. Return to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel for a relaxing evening overlooking the lake.
