Attractions of the park

The Mahale Mountain National Park is notable because of the chimpanzees, but the second largest and the second deepest after Baikal Lake in Siberia in all situations is Lake Tanganyika, the second oldest freshwaters lake in the world. Other attractions include untamed wild animals like as warthogs, mountains and sand beaches, such as Ntale, Kasiha and Sansa

The oldest and deepest lakes in the world lie on Lake Tanganyika, a pristine remote park, Mahale National Park, where chimpanzees, jungles, and mountains are the greatest known population. The creation of the Park reflected the government’s dedication to protecting the population of chimpanzees as well as the work of Japanese researchers who were in the pioneering field of primates, especially chimpanzees.

Tanganyika Lake

Mountain of Mahale

It takes approximately 5 hours to arrive at the peak and you can notice various fauna during the walk that make your journey memorable.

Trekking chimpanzees

The chimpanzee walk leads guests through the foggy woodland on a thrilling journey. For first encounters, sighting may vary from 30 to 3 hours.
