Welcome to Our Historic Lodge

Step back in time at our lodge’s Main House, built in 1905, which has beautifully preserved its colonial charm. Stretching along the front of the house are long, elegant verandas furnished with classic armchairs, where you can relax and take in views of the serene lake, playful monkeys in the surrounding forest, and—when the clouds part—the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in all its grandeur.

The lodge’s bar, located next to the reception, is a cozy spot to unwind, while the fireplace in the living room offers a warm, inviting space for evenings. Decorated with stone benches, leather cushions, and antique pieces that pay homage to Tanzania’s German colonial past, the ambiance is a perfect blend of history and comfort.
