Day to day Itinerary

(Driving Time 1hr 20min)

Day 1: Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha

Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport, and proceed to the Immigration desk for VISA Stamp. Before leaving the desk make sure your passport is correctly stamped. Outside the airport you will meet with your safari guide with a sign board with one of your names. Our safari guides have gone through COVID 19 standard procedure course, and they will make sure they follow all the protocols. Depart the airport and drive to Kahawa House for overnight on bed and breakfast

(Flight Time 1hr)

Day 2: Flight To Serengeti National Park

To minimize driving time, I will advise that you take a flight from Arusha to                                                                                         Serengeti. The flight will depart Arusha at 09:00am and arrive in the Serengeti at 11:00am. In Serengeti you will find your guide already waiting for you eagerly to show you the beauty of Tanzania. He will receive you and continue with the game drive towards the hotel for lunch. After lunch and a little rest, you will depart for a game drive in the afternoon. You will return for dinner and overnight at Kubukubu Tented Lodge.

3 Days: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast have full day game drive in Serengeti National Park, remember you can always discuss with your safari guide about day to day program, if you want to depart the hotel with packed lunch or have hot lunch in the hotel. Feel free, we are flexible.

Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves, all meals and overnight at  Kubukubu Tented Lodge

(Drive Time 2 Hrs)

Day 4: Serengeti – Ndutu Ngorongoro

It is time to say goodbye again to the lodge staff, depart with packed lunch for morning game drive then proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Enjoy your packed lunch then proceed with game drive in Ndutu area. Ndutu area forms the Northwestern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation area. It settles between Ngorongoro and Serengeti, two amazing places to visit. Ndutu is known for beautiful landscape and the famous calving season caused by the immigration of the wildebeests from the Maasai Mara Reserve in Kenya to The Great Serengeti plains in Tanzania. There are at least 5000 calves born every day due to the large number of wildebeests that cross over. The best season to visit this place is from December all the way to March. This is the right time to be in Ndutu area. Game drive after lunch then proceed to Lake Masek Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 5: Ndutu Ngorongoro

Today you will have full day game drive in Ndutu area, breath in and breath out as this is unbelievable truth about wildebeest migration. Thousand and thousands of wildebeests in one place. Young babies trying to survive by their own, mothers forgetting their babies on the way, this is crazy to think about but reality. Due to high number of wildebeests in Ndutu, predators are not forgotten, they are also here read to get the food as easy as it will be. Enjoy your day in this beautiful area, all meals and overnight at Lake Masek Tented Camp

Day 6: Ngorongoro

Crater is very beautiful and animals are more active in the morning, you can decide to have breakfast at the camp or depart with packed breakfast and packed lunch. Always discuss with your safari guide.  Today you will descend into the crater some 600 meters to experience the true spirit of Africa, the Africa of bygone days when you explore the crater as permanent home of wildlife population, long regarded as Africa’s “Garden of Eden”. From the comfort of your 4 x 4 vehicle crafted exclusively for game viewing will give an opportunity to spot Big five – Elephant, buffalo, leopard, black mane lion and the rare black rhino as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos and the yawning hippos. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater close to the hippo pool. Early evening drive to Ngorongoro Farm House for dinner and overnight

Day 7: Easy Day

After morning to evening game drive, you deserve a little break. Have a relaxed breakfast at Ngorongoro Farm House, then depart to Mto wa Mbu for cultural tour. Walking to the banana plantation will be one of the activities. Visit the local market and enjoy local lunch as well, does it feel like a relaxing day!! Late afternoon proceeds to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Maramboi is located close to lake Manyara with a beautiful view of the lake, a beautiful place to stay as harmless animals like Zebra, warthogs, wildebeest and many are all the time around the lodge eating grass. You will like the place.

Day 8: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast depart to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch, the park is beautiful with a lot of baobab trees and elephants. Have full day game drive in the park, enjoy your lunch at the picnic site, in the evening drive back to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight. 

Day 09: To West Kilimanjaro

Enjoy your breakfast and then depart to Arusha for local lunch at Haradali home, After lunch proceed to Kambi Ya Tembo in West Kilimanjaro where you will be as close as possible to Mount Kilimanjaro. Beautiful view of the mountain from here will take your breath away.  Kambi ya Tembo is located in a wildlife management area where by you will be able to see different animals around here. Game drive is also possible. Walking as well. Dinner and overnight at Kambi Ya Tembo Tented Lodge

Day 10: Full Day in West Kilimanjaro

Your last day in Tanzania Mainland, maybe you would like to visit Zanzibar as well, let us know we can organize that as well.

After breakfast depart for early morning game drive in West Kilimanjaro, have you ever seen a photo of Mt Kilimanjaro behind the elephant?? Those photos are real, maybe it is your turn to take one with your own camera. Return to Kambi ya Tembo for lunch then relax. Late afternoon you will have a beautiful walk which will take you to a beautiful area for beautiful sunset. Back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Departure Day

Since you are tired with long drive, you might wish to sleep a bit longer today. Take your time. Depending on your departure flight, you will have breakfast only or breakfast and lunch.
