Tanzania has solidified its position as a leader in African tourism by winning multiple accolades at the 2024 World Travel Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the travel industry.” The country was crowned Africa’s Leading Destination, a title it reclaimed after winning in 2021. Serengeti National Park was named Africa’s Leading National Park for the sixth consecutive year, and the Tanzania Tourist Board secured the award for Africa’s Leading Tourist Board for the third year running.

These achievements highlight Tanzania’s commitment to preserving its natural beauty, promoting sustainable tourism, and providing world-class travel experiences. Attractions like Mount Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, and Thanda Island continue to draw high-end tourists, contributing to the country’s status as a premier destination
